Sydney, Australia based singer/songwriter/rapper Nick de la Hoyde has been expressing himself through music since he was 16 while pursuing a professional, football career in Barcelona and searching for a new, creative outlet. The result of this exploration was a unique and deeply personal insight into youth, dreams and determination. Growing up in a multi-cultural home with a Syrian mother and British father, Nick was exposed to many global influences which he weaved into his music melding sounds of hip hop, rock, alternative, R&B and spoken word, together with introspective lyrics that read like personal journal entries.  Nick and his long-time producers and collaborators, brothers Joseph (ZUZU) de la Hoyde and John de la Hoyde, have crafted a sound that is simultaneously intimate, expansive and engaging.  Now at 22, Nick has penned confessional, real life anthems such Never Gonna Beg For It, Changing and By My Side that take you on a free-spirited, hypnotic and sometimes soulfully moody sonic journey.  Nick has quickly made a name for himself in the social media space cultivating a large and dedicated on-line following, becoming a powerful voice for youth empowerment and positivity.

ZUZU is the new moniker of Australian Composer and Producer Joseph de la Hoyde. His music is singular and provocative, drawing on a vast array of personal influences including his deep fascination with the modern psyche; the procession of doubt and the inherent inclinations of desire, disorder and disengagement that lead to anxiety. Through ZUZU, Joseph combines a profound film music sensibility with an alternative pop edge, drawing on influences as far as Hans Zimmer, Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack to modern producers Malay and 40. At 24, ZUZU presents a culmination of Joseph’s experience into one coherent artistic body, exploring his subjective matter through both music and his ongoing writing project ‘A Body of Desire’. The name ZUZU derives from Joseph’s upbringing; his mother being Syrian and father British.
